1st BodyFlow Class

Last night I took my first BodyFlow class at "The Gym". It was definitely not as bad as I had thought it was going to be. But it was still difficult. There was a lot of intense stretching and holding muscles that I'm not even close to being used to doing.

The hardest thing was trying to keep an eye on the instructor while I'm trying to keep up with everything. It wasn't "fast paced" but quick enough, especially when you're a newbie and you haven't seen anything like this before.

The balancing exercises were not only challenging, they were downright hilarious! I wasn't the only one teetering and tottering!

The best thing, that I really appreciated, was that there were a lot of little variations. And no matter what, it all benefits the body! If you can't do it on your toes, do it on your knees. If you can't do it put your arm/leg up this high, do it this high. It's all about what your body is comfortable with, without hurting yourself. I really liked that. I didn't feel pushed and abused, I felt encouraged. And with time, my body will be capable of doing more.

One of the HR Admins who works in my building was also in the class. It was only her 2nd class, so she was barely broken in. I didn't feel like the only newbie. We set up our mats next to each other and had an absolute blast!

My legs & arms are sore today, but not nearly as much as I thought they would be. And this morning I felt like I could really use more sleep, but I don't think that was MS fatigue. That's just from having a good work out last night!

I'm very excited and I can't wait to do it again. Tomorrow I'll be trying BodyStep, which is aerobic.
