Weekend Update

This weekend was a packed one, but it didn't include getting together with my mother & brother. We'll be doing that tonight instead.

Bright and early on Saturday, Chris & I drove to Boston for the MS Seminar. It was by far the best seminar that I've been to. I wasn't expecting to learn anything new, but this one blew me out of the water. I took several pages of notes! I'm going to be putting them all together this morning and typing up a full report for everyone. There is so much good information about progress and theories! I'm so excited!

On Saturday night, Chris & I went out with his sister, Robin, and a guy that Chris knows. This was date #2 for them. They seemed to get along and everything, but at the end of the night she told us that she really didn't feel any connection to Bill. She said that he was nice and everything, but she didn't feel a spark. What the hell is up with this girl? Does she really expect love at first sight? She doesn't even want to put an effort into getting to know him more and seeing if something grows. He's very nice looking, directed, grounded, mature, ready to settle down, everything that she's looking for! I think that it boils down to her immaturity & age - no matter how mature she thinks she is. : (

Chris ended up extremely drunk and things were rather crazy when we got home. He gets that way when he's drunk. Not in a bad way, but in a crazy way. ; )

Since we were rather hungover, and we went to bed very late (from the craziness), we could not wake up for the life of us in the morning! I managed to roll out at 11:00 because my brother called. I was "up" until almost noon, when Chris woke up and came into the living room. Then we cuddled up on the couch and promptly fell back asleep. I woke back up at 2:00, right in time for the Red Sox game to start on TV. Chris was still zonked out, but he moved to the other side of the couch. He stayed asleep until almost 4:00! We both still had major headaches, too! I only had 4 drinks, but Chris was pounding them down. And he's not a cheap date/drunk either! He drank 3 margaritas that were $10 each! And he had a couple regular beers ... and then he switched to Long Island Ice Teas. He had 3 or 4 of those, and they were $10 each! What the hell!

When we finally got up and at 'em, we went fishing in Hubbardston. Chris didn't catch anything and we didn't stay long. Too discouraging, I guess.

We came home and I finished Mom's necklace. I kept it to only 4 strands, because I don't think she'd like anything very big. 4 strands keeps it on the small side. Each of the strands are different, so it looks great all twisted together. I took pictures of it, along with the other things I've made. Once the camera is full, I'll be able to post the pictures here.
