Getting a bird cage is like preparing for a baby's room!

It's looking like the cage materials are going to be several hundred dollars because now Chris wants to do the caging in stainless steel and the framing in that anodized aluminum. We haven't been able to find a site that sells welded aluminum panels (only mesh), but we found a great site with welded stainless steel panels. Unfortunately, the total on just the stainless steel for the panels is about $350 without the shipping. Okay, that's a lot - but if you look at the stainless steel premade cages that are even smaller than the one we're building, they are a thousand or more!

For a base/stand, I want Chris to build something out of pine. Like a cabinet base with doors - great storage place for birdie stuff.

This would be the ultimate Cage Made of Dreams!
