Vacation Update
We are pooped from all of the major driving! Well, Chris has been doing all of the driving, I just watch everything go by and it's nice. : ) But it does wear on both of us after awhile. Nappy time needed!
Thursday (am) - Chris wanted an extra reel with floating line so we went to his favorite fly-fishing store The Lower Forty. Now he'll be able to switch reels easily from sink to float, depending on where the fish are hitting.
Chris is so sexy in those waders and when he's casting in the water!
We also went to the bead store Tatnuck Beads to pick up a ton of headpins so that I could make more earrings. I ended up buying 400 silver-plated pins for less than $18. Can't find a deal like that anywhere!
Thursday (pm) - I went to my PCP to talk about my charlie horses. Basically, it doesn't make any sense because I'm on Lorazepam, and even though it's stopping the jerks, it doesn't touch the cramps. And she also thought it was strange that it happens in my hands, too - including my whole leg (foot, calf & thigh). She wasn't impressed that my neuro said it wasn't disease related, but she's going to hunt down the cause anyway. She's wonderful! She told me to start off by drinking some Tonic water, because it contains quinine (sp?) until my blood results come in. She's testing every level and everything else under the sun. What scared me, though, is that she is pretty certain that everything will be normal - which will mean that I will have to have a muscle biopsy to find out what's going on. But we're not going to worry about that unless it comes to that. She's going to talk to my neuro, also, to get more information from him.
After my appt, I met up with my mother and she drove us out to Northampton. We were supposed to meet up with my brother for dinner, but he ended up having to work at the last minute. No biggie, we had fun anyway! For dinner we had ICE CREAM that was so damn decadent, we were in pure heaven! If you've never been to one, seek one out!!! It's unbelievable! I had this and my mother had that. It took us a good 15 minutes to decide! For desert, we had bruscetta at a pizzeria. We were so full from dinner, that we could hardly eat any of the bruscetta. Now, isn' t that how dinner & desert should be?!
Friday (am) - Overslept and missed my nail appointment. Her next available appt isn't until June 23! EEEKKK!
Friday (pm) - Chris and I brought his cousin Shane and his wife Sarah to Logan. They're going to Germany for 3 weeks - for business. Shane is going to be running a company for some German guy here in the states. So he had to go to get some "training" and get the financials straightened out. I don't understand what's going on with the whole thing. Sounds sketchy to me, but if this is the real deal, he's going to be one lucky guy! I'll just keep my fingers crossed. Like Shane said, sometimes you have to take risks!
I'm NOT going to Quincy to see Teri Garr at the MS Seminar tomorrow. Too much driving, and that's a far drive to learn nothing new. I was only going so that I could see Teri - as a celebrity, not as someone with MS. We're going to have a little cookout at my father's instead. I can't believe my vacation is almost over!
