Catching Up
Only earlier this week did we decide it would be the third week of October! Matter of fact - October 20th! That's the date!
After lots of googling and checking out different sites that offer flights, I decided to go with Orbitz. The flight is now booked and I've got the e-tickets.
After even more googling and checking out different sites that offer wedding packages at the Valley of Fire, I decided to go with A Las Vegas Garden of Love. They offer the best package at the best price that I could find. I also found out when the sunset times will be for 10/20 because that is the best time for pictures (perfect lighting) and it's also a very romantic time to get married outdoors. The wedding is now booked and I've received confirmation from the company.
We've decided to go with Treasure Island instead of the Luxor. But I'm not booking that until September. I want to see if they have any special rates - and it's too far out for anything. They have good specials right now for July and August, so I can only assume that there will be some for the fall months.
I found perfect vows online that say everything that I want to be said and nothing that I don't want to be said. Chris is very hesitant about reciting anything, but when he read it over and saw how little he'd have to say, I think he's cool with it now.
And you know that I had already basically picked out the dress that I wanted from looking at David's Bridal's website (from May/June). I finally went there yesterday, tried on the dress, shoes & bra/slip. The wedding dress that I wanted is now bought and paid for, and the alteration appointment will be in September (the dress is too long, I'm only 5'4"). They said they do it about a month before the wedding date.

I'm going to have to lose a bit more of that pudge, because I don't like seeing the belly bump against the fabric. Maybe some control top pantyhose would take care of smoothing that out?
And I'm rather surprised at how much bigger my boobs look in that dress. They are really not that big! I'm just a B. Used to be a C until I friggen lost weight! I think that they look bigger because the bra/slip is padded, and I never wear padded bras. However, I'm not complaining!
I will complain, though, about how wide I look. I've lost 10 inches in my hips, which is a lot in the grand scheme of things, but I guess I'm still pretty wide. Hmm.
Anyway, I fit into a 14 which was a shocker, and it wasn't even tight. I used to take a 20/22.
So that was my week. I'm pooped but very excited and overjoyed!
